The Glen is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to assist with the day-to-day accounting activities across our multi-facility campus.  The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, preparing monthly billing statements, and assisting with other accounting functions.  
 
Responsibilities as a Staff Accountant: 
  • Review and monitor financial accounting of each operation, reconciliation of accounts, preparation of adjustments to ensure accuracy of accounting, etc.  Prepare standard monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor cash balances daily, transfer funds as directed.
  • Maintain fixed asset records of the organization.
  • Monthly and annual reconciliation of donation records.
  • Prepare work papers for audits of the financial records of the organization.
  • Provide training and support to staff in accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in operational and capital budget planning and preparation.
  • Assist the Controller with compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and reporting requirements related to financial.
  • Prepare and review monthly billing statements to be distributed to Resident/RP for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents. 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or related field.  A minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of tax, laws, regulations.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Must be people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.  
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.  
  • Computer skills appropriate to job functions
Physical Demands: 
  • Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 90 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting, walking, typing, reaching, and bending
  • Hand and finger dexterity to use computers and office equipment
